Montpelier Arts CenterWaterford Concert Series
featuring Mendelssohn choral lieder
and American music

Sunday, Oct. 19, 2008 at 4:00 p.m.

VOICES XXI opened the 2008-2009 season, our ninth, by performing as part of the acclaimed Waterford Concert Series on October 19th. The series, a program of the Waterford Foundation of Waterford, Virginia, brings classical music of the highest caliber to western Loudoun County, Va. Also featured on the series during 2008 are the Domingo-Cafritz Young Artists, the New Century Saxophone Quartet, Next Generation (talented young performers from the Levine School of Music), and the St. Petersburg String Quartet. Because the usual venue for these concerts, the auditorium of the Waterford Old School, was destroyed by fire in 2007, the concerts have moved to the Lucketts Community Center, another early 20th century schoolhouse (pictured here) in nearby Lucketts, Va.
